About

A short personal note on academic work, sport, and broader quantitative ideas.

Fabio Trojani during his fencing career

My academic interests span asset pricing, quantitative finance, machine learning, and computational methods for economics and finance. Beyond research, I am interested in how quantitative ideas can be communicated more effectively through new computational tools and interactive learning environments.

Outside academia, fencing has been an important part of my life for many years. As a member of the Swiss National Fencing Team, I participated in five World Championships and won eight Swiss national titles in individual and team competitions. The discipline, focus, strategic thinking, and rapid decision-making required by the sport have strongly influenced the way I approach both research and problem solving.

More generally, I enjoy exploring connections between mathematics, economics, technology, and decision making, and I remain fascinated by how relatively simple ideas can generate complex and often unexpected outcomes.
